CATHERINE STEPHENSON

Catherine was born in 1967 and has lived in Yorkshire all her life, being interested in painting from an early age.

Her love of watercolours developed rapidly with the help and tuition of a number of well-known artists who recognised her abilities when she was still very young.

After a successful career in stained-glass design, Catherine made the decision to paint professionally and, as her abilities rapidly developed, so did her commercial success.

Catherine has never felt the need to restrict the number of subjects she has painted and she continues to search for new subjects and new inspirations.  She has had outstanding success in painting on silk and has had prints published of her silk and watercolour paintings. 

More recently however, it is her watercolour and ink paintings of quirky street and harbour scenes that are proving her to be a very versatile and popular artist.
