JEREMY TAYLOR
Jeremy Taylor was born in Shipley,
West Yorkshire in 1957 and moved to
Norfolk in 1975 where he read Philosophy at the
University of
East Anglia.
Whilst in
Norfolk his interest in painting was kindled by study of the
Norwich
School and more recent artists such as Seago and Steer.
After graduating in 1978, Jeremy devoted the next few years to travel, indulging his interest in natural history. After travelling through the wilds of
Africa and
Europe, he returned to his native
Yorkshire, where he began painting professionally in 1986.
In recent years, Jeremy has won numerous awards and major commissions. He exhibits with the British Society of Painters and the British Watercolour Society and on several occasions has been voted “Favourite Artist in Show” by the public.
