MIKE HENDY

Yorkshire born and bred, Mike trained as an architect and worked in practise for many years until illness curtailed his career.

Having painted as a student and then stopped due to the pressure of work, setting up house etc., he took it up again in his forties, taking great pleasure in tackling the challenges offered by watercolour.

His subjects include landscapes- particularly snow scenes- still life and marine scenes.

Mike is a member of the Yorkshire Watercolour Society. His work is represented in a small number of chosen galleries and his paintings are in collections all over the world.

Whitby Galleries has represented Mike since 1997.
